The School and its Facilities
Ours is a modern, well equipped primary school in the village of Llangors, about 5 miles south-east of Brecon.
It lies between the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains and is within the boundary of the National Park. Children come to the school from the villages which cluster around Llangors Lake. At present we cater for children between the ages of 4 and 11 and children are admitted to the school at the beginning of the term in which they are 4 years old. The school teaches through the medium of English but Welsh is taught as a second language.

The Grounds, Gardens and Play Areas
We are lucky to have exceptionally large grounds for a primary school, mostly grassed and with mature trees and garden areas planted and looked after by the children. There are magnificent views of Llangors Lake, Mynydd Llangors and the Brecon Beacons. All of these features serve to provide a stimulating learning environment for our pupils and create further opportunities for developing fitness and co-operative play.
Staff and parents with the help of parent volunteers and the Brecon Beacons National Park have built a pond area, and more recently parent have been raising funds to develop a tree planting programme. We believe in utilising the outdoors to a maximum, with our wooded area, nature garden, vegetable and fruit garden and rock area. The enhancement of the grounds is an ongoing project.
We have a large elevated field for sports, a large playground, and MultiUse Games Area. There is also a quiet zone of the playground with benches. Additionally, each of our three infant classes has its own designated outdoor area.
