Little Wandle Letters and Sounds

An important part of how we teach children to read at Llangors is our phonics programme. We follow a phonics curriculum called Little Wandle Letters and Sounds. 

Learning to read is very much a team effort between home and school. It's important that we work together every step of the way. We will keep you well informed of what your child is learning and how they are getting on. We will also invite you to attend a meeting at the beginning of your child's Reception year to support you to best support your child. 

You may find these videos helpful to understand how your child is learning and how you can support them at home.
